C Johnson New Lion Award: EXTENDED to March 5TH, 2010
The District Cabinet is seeking nominations for the 2008-2009 John C. Johnson Outstanding New Lion of the Year Award. Each club is being asked to pick an outstanding new Lion nominee to be submitted by March 5, 2010. Requirements:
The finalist will be showcased in
the District Convention Program and the Outstanding New Lion will be honored
at the Saturday Luncheon when he or she is presented with District
11-B2’s John C. Johnson Outstanding New Lions Award. Please send
a written nomination with resume outlining your nominee’s accomplishments

How good is your Clubs newsletter? Enter it into the newsletter competition by sending a copy via email to PDG Donna Romanak: “liondonnaromanak@comcast.net”, Subject Line: Newsletter Competition, or you can send it via snail mail to: 11B2 Newsletter Competition 31177 CR-681 Bangor, MI 49013 Please identify it as an entry into the District Newsletter Competition. Every club should be working on its slate of officers for the 2010-2011 Lions year so they can have them posted by March (MMR updated). There will be new officer training at the convention on Saturday morning March 13th – see you there. |

Your club may want to purchase a ½ table to advertise your club’s activity or latest fundraiser; cost is $10 per half table – again the same as last year. You need to register ASAP…. (A Convention registration form is attached to this email). We need this information by March 5th latest!!!! |

| MD 11 Convention: May 21st
and 22nd...
Our Multiple district Convention will be held at Mission Point Resort, $89 per night, on Mackinac Island on May 21st and 22nd. Rooms on the Island at Mission Pointe are $89 per night. White Tie is optional for the Saturday night dinner. Call Lion Ray Llorens – (269) 637-1418 to reserve your space on the list for the bus. More information will be available at the 11B2 Convention at ID Candidate’s Linda Bosma’s table. |
